Marketing & Strategy Director – MEA

Location:

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Purpose:

Lead the Middle East & Africa marketing and strategic capabilities organization for Surgery, partnering with the Surgery EMEA franchise and commercial leaders across MEA to drive differentiated and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities
  • Define regional growth strategy across franchises.
  • Drive segmentation, positioning, and pricing strategy.
  • Own launch excellence.
  • Align marketing with sales execution and market access.
  • Develop KOL relationships.
  • Design and scale internal and HCP education strategy.
  • Lead centers of excellence, training programs, and digital learning.
  • Partner with KOLs and institutions for adoption.
  • Develop rebuttal evidence for commercial teams.
  • Ensure internal education translates into utilization.
  • Own forecasting, pipeline tracking, and KPI governance.
  • Drive S&OP alignment (commercial, supply, and demand).
  • Lead business reviews, dashboards, and performance cadence.
  • Improve commercial efficiency (ROI on marketing spend and resource allocation).
  • Build marketing capabilities focusing on strategies, digital, omnichannel, and analytics.
  • Upskill teams on value selling and evidence‑based marketing.
  • Implement tools, CRM optimization, and GTM frameworks.
  • Drive consistency across markets, especially within MEA complexity.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Med Tech regulations and policies.
  • Oversee promotional review processes and approval systems.
  • Manage interactions with HCPs in line with ethical standards.
  • Reduce risk exposure while enabling speed.
  • Spend time in the field with customers and teams according to business and opportunity size.
  • Maintain organizational administrative tasks.
  • Create a winning culture and growth mindset.
  • Create and facilitate internal commercial competitions.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for commercial contracting.
  • Adopt and lead change within the organization.
  • Stay abreast of country policy changes.
  • Foster relationships with EMEA and global counterparts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum education:

    Degree level (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the surgery portfolio.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent decision‑making ability.
  • Ability to manage complexity.
