Procurement Category Lead – IT

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic plans and budgets for sourcing products and services across all MAF OpCos and operating countries within the relevant category.
• Collaborate with Business and Head of Procurement to establish sourcing strategies aligned with legal requirements, internal policies, and business objectives.
• Lead sourcing initiatives for new projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
• Identify opportunities for cost improvement through consolidation, standardization, and scoping.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and assess total cost of ownership (TCO) to support decision‑making.
• Achieve or surpass annual sourcing goals and cost savings targets for MAF expenditures.
• Conduct price negotiations and finalize commercial agreements in coordination with MAF Legal.
• Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to leverage emerging opportunities for business advantage.
• Analyze expenditure patterns, identify cost drivers, and recommend optimization strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders across OpCos and develop digital platforms to enhance performance against KPIs and SLAs.
• Provide regular reporting on sourcing strategies and outcomes.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably in a multinational environment.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage commercial agreements.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in data interpretation and market analysis.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Familiarity with digital platforms for procurement optimization is desirable.

• Demonstrated experience in large‑scale Indirect Procurement within a diverse organization, particularly in managing multiple sourcing activities encompassing Technology and IT.
• Proven track record of negotiating significant deals with major Tech giants such as ORACLE, SAP, etc.
• Preferred experience in Procurement within “Shared Services” to oversee procurement RFX processes, ensuring seamless delivery of shared service operations to procurement category managers.
• Comprehensive understanding and application of best‑in‑class procurement processes, systems, and practices.
• Ability to evaluate legal and business risks associated with contractual commitments.
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a total of 15 to 17 years’ experience in Procurement.
