The Role
At qlub, operations sits at the centre of how we support our merchants after they go live. As an Operations Intern, you will support the Operations, Account Management, and Finance teams with key administrative and coordination tasks related to invoicing, merchant payouts, reconciliations, and documentation.
This position is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and keen to learn how operations and finance work inside a fast-growing fintech startup. You will help ensure merchant records, invoices, and internal data are accurate, organised, and up to date.
You will work closely with the Operations and Account Management team, while also supporting Finance with the checks and follow-ups needed to keep merchant billing and payout processes running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Support invoice and billing coordination by checking rates, volumes, deductions, credits, and billing timelines.
- Maintain accurate invoice records, supporting documents, and internal trackers.
- Help identify and follow up on discrepancies between system data, merchant inputs, and Finance records.
- Support SOA reconciliations by checking balances, adjustments, deductions, and missing information.
- Assist with monitoring merchant payouts and flagging potential issues early.
- Coordinate with Operations, Account Management, and Finance to support timely issue resolution.
- Support basic compliance checks, including contract terms, documentation completeness, and rate validation.
- Keep clear records of updates, issues, and resolutions for audit and reporting purposes.
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Economics, or a related field.
- Comfortable working with numbers, financial data, and spreadsheets.
- Basic to intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organised, structured, and able to follow processes.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work with different internal teams.
- Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn.
