Junior Procurement Officer

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for goods and services.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and product specifications.
• Compare supplier quotations and prepare procurement reports.
• Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
• Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
• Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives and procurement process improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, MCIPS or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, Logistics or supply chain operations.
• Maritime experience preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
