Regional Chartering Manager MPL IMEA

Responsibilities

• Has accountability and the responsibility for chartering activities of fixing non‑Maersk owned vessels and identifying and contributing to process improvement and execution of the segment strategy.
• Procures off‑fleet services for breakbulk cargo via Ocean with responsibility for quality control and management of the service/asset.
• Is active in fixing vessels, identifying and contributing to process improvement and execution of the segment strategy.
• Develops and maintains positive and constructive relationships with existing and potential vendors.
• Assists in identifying and developing new business relationships and opportunities by proactive interaction with vendors/brokers.
• Recommends and executes commercial strategies for the vendor category.
• Explains and promotes the chosen deployment strategy to the team, ensuring alignment of geographical, period and customer prioritizations.
• Oversees the operational service delivery and operations teams to ensure alignment with overall deployment strategy.
• May lead small projects or contributes/influences projects of moderate size and scope through substantial contributions to project framing.
• Provides strategic and market view/coverage input.
• Fixing vessels, identifying and contributing to process improvement and execution of the segment strategy.
• QHSE requirements embedded in procurement and deployment.

• 10+ years of relevant experience and expertise in specialized vessels such as MPV, Break Bulk Vessels, Ro Ro Vessels, Tug Vessels, Flat Barges and CPA (Charter Party Agreement).
