Position SummaryThe American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking an Officer – Planning, Assessment and KPI Management to support the Institutional Effectiveness Department in coordinating institutional planning activities, assessment processes, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring across the University. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation and monitoring of the University's strategic plan, institutional effectiveness framework, and assessment initiatives. The role will support data-informed decision-making by tracking performance indicators, preparing reports, coordinating assessment activities, and ensuring alignment between institutional goals, operational plans, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications& Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Strategic Planning, Statistics, Data Analytics, Quality Assurance, Education, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited university. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, assessment, quality assurance, performance management, or a related field, preferably within a higher education institution.
- Experience working with performance measurement systems, strategic planning frameworks, and assessment methodologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of strategic planning and performance management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in KPI development, monitoring, and reporting.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative assessment skills.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with dashboards, business intelligence tools, and performance management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to coordinate projects and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional effectiveness processes in higher education is preferred.
- Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the University's Strategic Plan.
- Coordinate the collection, verification, and analysis of institutional KPIs across academic and administrative units.
- Monitor progress against institutional objectives and strategic initiatives and prepare periodic performance reports.
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of KPI frameworks, targets, and performance measures.
- Assist colleges and departments in aligning operational plans with the University's strategic goals and objectives.
- Coordinate institutional assessment activities and support the implementation of assessment methodologies across the University.
- Prepare institutional effectiveness, assessment, and KPI reports for senior leadership and relevant committees.
- Conduct benchmarking studies and performance analyses to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data required for accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional reporting purposes.
- Support the development and maintenance of performance dashboards and planning tools.
- Track and document assessment findings, action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among departments regarding planning, assessment, and KPI-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to strategic planning, assessment, and institutional effectiveness processes.
- Participate in committees, meetings, and special projects related to planning, assessment, and quality assurance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Institutional Effectiveness or University management.
