Job TitleProcurement Team Lead – UAE Business Unit
OverviewThis is a full‑time onsite position located in Dubai, UAE, with travel requirements. The role involves supervising and guiding a deployed supply chain project team, overseeing all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and guide a deployed supply chain project team.
- Manage all aspects of supply chain activities, including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation, and reporting.
- Ensure alignment with the client’s head contract requirements and incorporate them into supply chain strategies, plans, procedures, and terms and conditions.
- Interface with legal and commercial experts to develop robust commercial agreements under guidance.
- Monitor and report progress of all project procurement activities; update reports and systems with required information.
- Escalate critical issues and risks to project management.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to reporting personnel and stakeholders on contractual obligations and responsibilities.
- Ensure supply chain activities comply with the project execution plan, schedule, contracting strategy, approved budgets, and project processes and procedures.
- Educated to ISCED Level 6 – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- CIPS qualified or equivalent industry qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SC procurement demonstrating results and progression to a similar position.
- Detailed understanding of key subcontracting and procurement concepts, including subcontract agreements, framework agreements, industry forms of subcontract, logistics and materials management, ERP systems, client contract requirements, supply chain principles and techniques.
- Experience with complex commercial evaluations, negotiations, terms and conditions, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills with a strong network within and outside the supply chain department.
- Planning and organisational skills; proactive, enthusiastic attitude and inspiring leadership.
- Ability to work as part of a project management team, identify efficiencies, process and tool improvement opportunities, and successfully drive change.
