Global Project Logistics - Energy Business Development Manager
Energy Business Development Manager role is one of the most critical commercial positions supporting our Project Logistics strategy. The EBDM reports directly to the Global Head of Project Logistics Business Development and has a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the US Energy Manager for designated US energy accounts. No team reports into this position; it is an individual contributor role with significant strategic impact.
The EBDM is responsible for generating new business opportunities across all segments of the Oil & Gas value chain, developing a strong pipeline within defined markets, and analysing market potential and competitive dynamics to prioritise opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
Working closely with global and regional stakeholders, the Energy Business Development Manager builds customer relationships based on trust, expertise and innovation, ensuring the right internal and external partners are engaged at the right time to secure new projects.

How you create impact- Identify new business opportunities and coordinate cross‑functional teams to develop these into firm project awards.
- Lead and manage global tenders and bids for major potential customers, securing required approvals from relevant stakeholders, including the IPMT.
- Monitor the business pipeline and success ratios, taking corrective actions together with the Global Head of Project Logistics Business Development when needed.
- Maintain regular communication with key internal stakeholders (Global/National Project Logistics Teams, Tender Management, etc.) and provide updates to senior leadership upon request.
- Demonstrate self‑driven, motivational leadership by communicating clear goals, securing stakeholder buy‑in, and aligning activities with strategic direction.
- Record all opportunities in Corelog and act as a role model for compliance and HSE standards.
- Foster strong collaboration across Project Logistics Development functions, Operations, Technology, and both Geographic and Technical Leadership teams.
- Drive gross profit growth by identifying and securing profitable business opportunities aligned with the Project Logistics Roadmap and strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, develop business and account plans, and pursue opportunities in alignment with (Key) Account Owners or independently where appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Proven experience in Business Development, Key Account Management or Commercial roles within Energy, Oil & Gas, EPC or Project Logistics.
- Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain and major project cycles, including tendering and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex global bids and manage senior‑level customer engagements.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to assess markets, build business plans and prioritise opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills across global and matrixed organisations.
- High level of self‑motivation and ownership, with a strong commitment to compliance and HSE standards; proficiency in CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
