Position: Head of Business Development — Logistics GCC)

Head of Business Development — Logistics (Dubai / GCC)

We’re hiring a Head of Business Development to drive new business growth for a logistics company across the UAE and wider GCC. This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who can win enterprise accounts, build a predictable pipeline, and grow strategic customers across freight, warehousing, and supply chain solutions.

What you’ll do
  • Own revenue growth across key verticals (FMCG, retail, industrial, automotive, pharma, e‑commerce)
  • Win new customers for services such as:
  • Contract logistics / warehousing
  • Transportation & distribution (linehaul / last‑mile where relevant)
  • Freight forwarding (air/sea) and customs clearance (if applicable)
  • Value‑added services (kitting, labeling, returns, rework)
  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → solution design → pricing → proposal/tender → negotiation → close
  • Build and manage a high‑quality pipeline with weekly forecasting and CRM discipline
  • Handle RFPs/tenders and procurement‑led buying processes
  • Work closely with operations to ensure solutions are deliverable, profitable, and scalable
  • Grow key accounts post‑win (renewals, upsell, multi‑site expansion)
  • Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings across the GCC
What “good” looks like
  • Consistent pipeline creation and conversion (not just networking)
  • Strong commercial control: margin protection, pricing strategy, contract terms
  • Ability to sell complex solutions (multi‑site, multi‑service, SLA‑driven)
  • Clear, data‑backed forecasting and reporting
  • Strong stakeholder management (Ops, Finance, Legal, Procurement, C‑suite)
What we’re looking for
  • Proven B2B business development leadership in logistics / supply chain (GCC experience preferred)
  • Track record of winning and growing enterprise / mid‑market accounts
  • Strong understanding of logistics cost drivers, SLAs, and operational constraints
  • Confident in negotiation, tender responses, and complex contracting
  • CRM‑first approach (pipeline hygiene, activity discipline, forecasting accuracy)
  • High ownership, structured execution, and strong follow‑through

Skills

Nice to have
  • Existing network with shippers in UAE/KSA/GCC
  • Experience selling into 3PL/4PL, retail distribution, e‑commerce fulfilment, or automotive supply chains
  • Exposure to WMS/TMS‑driven solution selling
