The Role
As a Senior Editor within our Destination Marketing practice, you will lead the development and execution of purposeful content strategies that effectively communicate key messages for our diverse portfolio of clients operating across a range of sectors. You will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership teams, ensuring alignment of communications strategy with organisational objectives while maintaining the highest editorial standards.
This role requires exceptional writing and editing skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to transform complex information into compelling, culturally relevant content. You will work autonomously in high‑profile, complex stakeholder environments with multiple approval processes, requiring exceptional diplomacy, initiative, and stakeholder management expertise.
- Lead the development of high‑quality content strategies and execution across various platforms, aligning with communications best practices and client goals
- Develop compelling messaging and narratives that effectively communicate key messages and resonate with target audiences
- Provide expert editorial direction and quality control across all communications channels, ensuring consistency and adherence to company and client editorial guidelines and brand standards
- Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership teams and key stakeholders
- Provide high‑level strategic counsel on content development and communications approach
- Lead the development of culturally nuanced content specifically tailored for diverse audiences and regional contexts
- Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest quality standards
- Minimum 7‑10 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism, or content development.
- Proven experience developing strategic communications for complex organisations or regulated industries.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and fact‑checking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to develop compelling messaging and narratives that resonate with target audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling visual content for social media and digital platforms.
- Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated writing, editing, and content strategy capabilities.
- Native fluency in English language essential; other languages, especially Arabic, are beneficial.
- Proficiency in content management and digital platforms.
