We are seeking a Creative Video Producer to oversee the programming, creative execution, and production of video content related to GQ Middle East as part of the Video Department.
As the Creative Producer, you will collaborate with the Executive Director of Creative Strategy and Development, as well as the Heads of Editorial Content this role, you will support the development of a comprehensive video programming plan and ideate and execute video series that reflect the brand’s iconic attributes, drive audience growth across digital platforms, and support monetization efforts.
Video output includes:
- Original social video and podcast content for global digital platforms (e.g., O&O, You Tube, Instagram, and Tik Tok), with a focus on premium, scalable quality
- Syndicated series for the Middle East market
- Video franchises that transcend platforms and markets
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, social first environment, is a self starter, and has a passion for Condé Nast’s iconic brands. This role is based in Dubai and reports to the Executive Director, Creative Strategy and Development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Supporting GQ Middle East in the ideation and production of video series, particularly for social media channels.
- Producing videos that are on-brand, on-budget, and in a timely manner while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Scriptwriting and/or storyboarding whenever needed.
- Directing and leading shoots on set or remotely, as needed.
- Facilitating the logistics for shoots including but not limited to coordinating and booking crew and equipment, arranging for location permits, managing location and talent agreements, risk assessment, booking transport, as well as tracking costs and budgets associated with each production.
- Editing social videos in a timely manner
- Reviewing and revising notes on rough cuts and having the fine cuts and final edits approved by the Executive Director, Creative Strategy and Development and the Head of Editorial Content.
- Delivering the final approved videos to the Social Media Manager for upload with thumbnails.
- Coordinating with Social Media Managers and other markets to syndicate videos and deliver cutdowns relevant to this region.
- Work alongside Talent Booker to bring the best possible talent on screen
- A minimum of 5 years experience producing and developing video content for social media platforms.
- A strong knowledge of and interest in Condé Nast’s brands.
- Must be well connected within the video production industry in the Middle East.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be a good communicator, solution-oriented, and be able to work collaboratively across hierarchies and departments.
- Must be extremely efficient with the ability to hit hard deadlines, video production and editing.
- Have a proven track record in managing productions from start to finish.
- Have a solid understanding of pre-production, production and post-production processes.
- Have strong writing skills and the ability to express ideas creatively in a script.
- Experience leading and directing small crews on location and in-studio.
- Experience dealing with A-list talent - celebrities, industry experts and influencers (and their reps) with professionalism and discretion.
- Must be comfortable conducting interviews on location and in-studio.
- Must be skilled at filming on a mobile if needed.
- Have basic video editing skills and must be familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience working with post-production teams - video editors, motion graphic designers, animators and thumbnail designers.
