Techno-Functional SWIFT Payment Specialist

We have an urgent requirement for a Techno-Functional SWIFT Payment Specialist with banking domain experience for a banking client in Dubai.

Strong experience with SWIFT message types (MT103, MT202, MT940, MX – ISO 20022, etc.), local payment systems (FCCS, UAEFTS, WPS, ICCS), and SWIFTNet, Alliance Access, SAA/SAG/SNL connectivity setups. Deep expertise in SWIFT messaging protocols, local and regional payment systems, and end‑to‑end payment processing solutions is essential.

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SWIFT payment systems and related local clearing mechanisms.
• Provide techno‑functional leadership in the implementation, integration, and support of payment systems including:
  • SWIFT MT/MX messages
  • FCCS (Fund Transfer System)
  • WPS (Wage Protection System)
  • UAEFTS (UAE Funds Transfer System)
  • ICCS (Image Cheque Clearing System)
• Collaborate with business teams to understand payment processing requirements and translate them into functional/technical specifications.
• Design, configure, and support payment workflows in core banking or payment platforms.
• Work with compliance and operations teams to ensure regulatory and scheme compliance (e.g., AML, FATF, KYC within payment systems).
• Manage end‑to‑end SWIFT integration and message transformation, including SWIFT Alliance Access/Entry, SAG, and SNL.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting payment failures, message formatting issues, and reconciliation gaps.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners for product upgrades, patches, and interface enhancements.
• Support UAT, regression testing, and go‑live activities during new implementations or changes.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of payment platforms.
• Maintain proper documentation for configurations, SOPs, and support manuals.

• Strong experience with SWIFT message types (MT103, MT202, MT940, MX – ISO 20022, etc.).
• Strong experience with local payment systems (FCCS, UAEFTS, WPS, ICCS).
• Strong experience with SWIFTNet, Alliance Access, SAA/SAG/SNL, and connectivity setups.
• Deep expertise in SWIFT messaging protocols, local and regional payment systems, and end‑to‑end payment processing solutions.
• Experience bridging business requirements and technical implementation in banking.
• Ability to work with regulatory compliance and payment systems stakeholders.
