Profile Summary
The Primary Debt Markets business at Mizuho International is divided into Corporate & Public Sector Debt Capital Markets, Financial Institutions Debt Capital Markets, and Debt Syndicate teams. The analyst level position provides exposure to debt origination, client relationship development, and cross‑sell opportunities across the global sovereign, supranational, agency, and financial institution client base.
- Market and client support: prepare weekly pricing, DCM MENA publication, pitchbooks, and market updates.
- Maintain a detailed database of issuance volumes, balance sheet metrics, credit ratings and basic modelling to support client requirements.
- Collaborate with trading and sales teams to capture market colour and investor feedback on primary transactions and secondary flows.
- Engage with the Loan Capital Markets origination and sales teams and the wider loan market.
- Build knowledge of legal documentation and engage with legal counsels in the GCC.
- Assist in the arrangement and preparation of issuer deal and non‑deal roadshows.
- Summarise key financial and regulatory publications and highlight potential impacts for clients.
- Develop the ability to demonstrate Mizuho’s strengths and distance to clients, and pursue new and existing client opportunities.
- Support revenue generation through origination with CEEMEA portfolio clients and other Group clients.
- Adhere to all compliance regulations and maintain strong controls.
- Operate between Mizuho International and Mizuho Bank, ensuring joint compliance and resolving any conflicts.
- Follow Dual‑Hat Policies & Procedures and report any conflicts or differences between MHI and MHBK.
- Bloomberg usage and analytical mindset.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, self‑starter, and teamwork capability.
- Solid understanding of bond mathematics and primary/secondary debt markets.
- High level of computer literacy and data manipulation skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
