As part of your portfolio as Senior Manager:
Corporate Performance and Business Development you will:
- Translate Cred Tech and Group Fin Tech strategy into a lending-specific performance and growth plan
, with clear roadmaps, milestones, and value levers. - Define and continuously refine the financial operating model (funding, pricing, unit economics, cost-to-serve, portfolio RoE) for digital lending.
- Cascade strategy and OKRs to teams and partners; track contribution to profitability, portfolio quality, and market expansion
. - Build and run the FP&A engine
: annual plan, budgets, rolling forecasts, variance/driver analysis, executive dashboards, and Board materials. - Integrate AI/ML-enabled forecasting and scenario modelling (pricing, credit losses, regulatory changes, FX/interest-rate shocks).
- Partner with Product, Risk, Collections, and Technology to optimise the lending P&L: CAC/LTV, activation, utilisation, roll-rate, cure-rate, write-off, and unit economics.
- Convert analysis into clear narratives and investment cases for ExCo/Board; track realisation of benefits post-decision.
- Support pricing and credit-policy experiments (A/B & multi-arm bandits), ensuring governance, explainability, and regulatory alignment.
- Run the growth pipeline
: market scans, opportunity screening, business cases, due diligence, ROI, risk frameworks, and GTM planning. - Originate and negotiate strategic partnerships (distribution, data/score partners, embedded-finance anchors, payment rails, collections partners).
- Drive automation of FP&A and performance reporting (Power BI/Anaplan/modern data stack) to reduce cycle time and elevate analytics.
- Define templates and policy/process designs for forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting; embed continuous improvement.
- Align with IFRS/IFRS 9 (expected credit loss concepts), revenue recognition, and Group finance policies; partner with Risk/Compliance for model governance (monitoring, validation, explainability).
- Establish portfolio performance cadences (credit KPIs, early warning indicators, stress tests) and ensure escalation paths are followed.
- Build a high-performing CPM & BD team; clarify roles, goals, and career paths.
The incumbent must have the following:
- Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree (Bachelor’s degree in Finance and / or equivalent)
- Post graduate degree in Finance and/or equivalent professional qualification (preferred); or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (advantageous)
- MBA or Masters (advantageous)
- A Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in finance or senior business management roles in Financial Services/Fintech Industry
- 4 years of relevant working managerial experience in FP&A / management accounting/ Business Development of a large reputable organisation, with at least 2 years in Financial technology or telecommunications sector would be advantageous
- Proven experience in Finance within a Financial Services/ Fintech industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific financial practices, regulations and challenges
- Deep understanding of the Banking, Investment & Fintech ecosystem, players, business models and industry related best practices
- Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets advantageous)
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting
