Finance Manager - Retail

The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and overall financial management to support the Company's strategic objectives. This role emphasizes improving profitability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Lead month-end activities and prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements
• Provide insightful analysis of actual performance versus budgets and work on operational efficiencies
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
• Coordinate and close the annual statutory audit

• Lead preparation of long and short-term business plans & budgets
• Evaluate and prepare business proposals/models for strategic growth, supported by analysis of business environment, local regulations, commercial terms and financial returns

• Support commercial analysis and provide insight for business decision making
• Analyze and interpret trends requiring management attention, prepare and present clear financial and management reports to senior management
• Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities and recommend actionable measures
• Support development of pricing strategies to improve profitability
• Manage inventory and conduct aging analysis

• Support tax team in implementing the right processes for accurate tax compliance

The incumbent sets clear objectives and performance targets with team members, mentors and guides the team to develop skills, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
