Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Dubai. This full-time, in-house position requires someone who understands both traditional finance and the emerging virtual asset ecosystem. You will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations while supporting our clients in the regulated virtual asset space.

Key Responsibilities Financial Management:

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Conduct bank reconciliations and cash flow management
• Process payroll and employee expense reimbursements

UAE Compliance & Taxation:

• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax requirements
• Maintain tax documentation and support audit processes
• Stay updated on changes to UAE tax legislation

Business Banking & Operations:

• Manage relationships with UAE banks and financial institutions
• Handle business banking transactions and documentation
• Process international payments and foreign exchange transactions
• Coordinate with banks for account maintenance and compliance requirements

Virtual Asset Sector Support:

• Support financial operations related to virtual asset projects
• Understand crypto/blockchain transaction accounting
• Assist with financial reporting for tokenization projects
• Maintain records in compliance with VARA requirements (training provided)

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare management reports and financial analysis
• Support budget preparation and forecasting
• Assist with client financial documentation as needed
• Coordinate with external auditors during audit season

Required Qualifications Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) is highly preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE
• Proven experience with UAE VAT filing and compliance
• Working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax regulations
• Experience with business banking operations in UAE

Technical

Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, Quick Books, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
• Familiarity with UAE FTA portal and VAT filing systems

Personal Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Legal Requirement

• Must hold valid UAE residency visa (own visa/family visa/husband visa)
• Immediately available or short notice period preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and virtual assets
• Understanding of virtual asset regulations and VARA compliance framework
• Experience working in fintech, crypto, or blockchain companies
• Familiarity with international payment systems and cross-border transactions
• Knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards
• Arabic or Farsi language skills (advantage)
