Accounts Manager

Our client is a leading event management and entertainment agency in the UAE with over 20 years of experience. They specialize in delivering end-to-end solutions for diverse events, offering services from event production to digital solutions and creative studios.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with excellent analytical abilities and a comprehensive understanding of UAE financial regulations.

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including verifying cash and bank payments.
• Perform regular scrutiny of accounting ledgers on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports by the 8th of each month.
• Prepare various ad-hoc financial reports as required by senior management.
• Finalize statutory accounts in compliance with UAE regulations and local laws.

• Manage procurement processes, negotiate best rates from suppliers, and establish favorable credit terms.
• Manage correspondence with vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth payment processes.
• Perform creditors and debtors reconciliations and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Prepare and process salary/payroll using WPS or similar payroll systems.
• Handle VAT filing and returns, ensuring timely compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Support the annual statutory audit process and liaise with auditors for timely completion.

• Assist in the creation and implementation of financial plans and budgets.
• Oversee cash flow management and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the credit function, maintaining effective control of receivables.
• Act as a backup for petty cash management, including releasing cash for reimbursements and travel advances.

• Up to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in the UAE.
• Proven knowledge of financial analysis, reporting standards, and tax regulations in the UAE.
• Proficiency in FOCUS Accounting System.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience working with multiple entities in a group of companies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Tech-savvy, with a strong understanding of modern accounting software and digital integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field.
