General Ledger Management
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
- Process invoices, payment requests, and vendor bills in a timely manner.
- Track outstanding payments and ensure proper follow-up for receivables.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
- Assist with inventory management by recording inventory transactions, tracking stock movements, and updating inventory reports.
- Help in calculating and analyzing product cost structures.
- Assist in the preparation and posting of month-end journal entries.
- Help ensure the timely and accurate closing of monthly financial reports.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT and other regulatory tax reports.
- Monitor and track departmental expenses to ensure they align with budgeted amounts.
- Assist with reconciliation of expense reports and approvals.
- Maintain organized financial records and files.
- Ensure all documentation related to financial transactions is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible for audits and compliance checks.
- Provide accounting support for various projects and ad-hoc requests from senior accountants, finance managers, or other departments as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling financial data.
- Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
- Knowledge of tax compliance (e.g., VAT and sales tax).
- Basic understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
