Financial Analyst

Overview

Supervise the accounting of costs for Vectrus Mission Systems. This is a key role in helping the company maintain strong cash flows. The role is for someone who has a strong understanding of GAAP and good research skills. This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the company.

• Develop monthly project forecast and updates.
• Review monthly financial statements and revenue recognition.
• Develop project EACs.
• Develop annual operating plans for projects.
• Interface with Vectrus Systems Corporation Headquarters for timely questions on charges through inter‑company accounts or posted by HQ.
• Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards and Sarbanes‑Oxley Act.
• Provide monthly forecasting and reporting based on data from cost accounting systems.
• Support VAT tax filings and statutory tax filings with supporting schedule development.
• Provide accurate backup and run reports for internal and external auditors.
• Assist the Finance Manager/Director in projects as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.

• Education/
  
  Certifications:
  
  BS/BA Degree or equivalent related experience. One‑year related experience may be substituted for one year of education.
• Three to five years of accounting‑related experience with general knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Knowledge of cost accounting principles is a plus.
• General PC skills and advanced knowledge of Excel required.

• Works in a general office environment.
• Physical activities include extended sitting, eye strain and repetitive motion during peak periods of data input.
