Accounts Receivable Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle ensuring timely billing and collection of outstanding debts to maintain cash flow.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies by liaising with clients to ensure accurate records and payments.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and develop strategies for efficient collection.
• Process incoming payments through various methods (checks, credit cards, electronic funds transfers) and ensure accurate allocation to accounts.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Monitor credit limits and assess customer creditworthiness to minimize financial risk for the organization.
• Maintain detailed records of all communication with clients regarding payment statuses and follow-ups.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports providing insights on receivables performance and cash flow forecasts.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for financial principles.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role showcasing a track record of effective collections.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP) and Microsoft Excel to manage data efficiently.
• Strong understanding of credit and collection practices, with the ability to mitigate financial risks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
