Senior Associate – Finance and Accounting

My client is looking for a Senior Associate – Finance & Accounting, to support all finance operations and reporting globally. The successful candidate will also be appointed as the firm’s Designated Finance Officer under the DFSA regulatory framework, responsible for prudential compliance and regulatory submissions to the DFSA.

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accurate and timely insights.
• Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS/GAAP, financial regulations, and company policies.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
• Lead annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ownership of Regulatory reporting and quarterly and annual submissions.
• Ensure accurate financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, tax filings, VAT filings and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain robust internal controls, corporate governance, and financial policies to mitigate risks.
• Drive adherence to local, regional, and international financial compliance standards.
• Fulfil the responsibilities of the firm’s Designated Finance Officer, including preparation and submission of prudential returns via the DFSA’s EPRS system and monitoring of capital adequacy in line with PIB module requirements.
• Ensure reconciliation and segregation of client monies from firm funds in accordance with DFSA rules.
