Assistant Manager – Finance Job Description
- The ideal candidate will be instrumental in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will work closely with leadership to implement financial strategies and support the accomplishment of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Create and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
- Analyze financial data to spot trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide valuable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and oversee annual budgets, ensuring they align with business objectives.
- Review and authorize departmental budgets and expenses.
Accounting & Reporting:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and collaborate with Finance Shared Services (FSS).
- Generate accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure the timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Compliance &
Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, financial standards, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee audits and coordinate with both internal and external auditors.
- Identify financial risks and take steps to mitigate them.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Enhance team capabilities through training and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education and
Certifications:
CA, CMA, CPA - Experience:At least 5-8 years of experience in financial management or a similar role.
- Technical
Skills:- Expertise in Advanced Excel and Oracle.
- In-depth understanding of financial regulations, standards (GAAP/IFRS), and reporting requirements.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
