Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Role Description

The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate general ledger records. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai will be responsible for preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accountant will process accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitor cash flow, and ensure timely invoicing and payments.

The role will also involve coordinating with external auditors, supporting tax and regulatory filings in compliance with UAE requirements, and preparing management reports for internal stakeholders. In addition, the Accountant will help improve financial processes, maintain organized documentation, and collaborate with other teams to support overall business operations.

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to work with financial data and reports.
• Solid understanding of UAE financial regulations, taxation, and compliance practices, or willingness to learn them quickly.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills to ensure accuracy in all financial tasks.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Relevant experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within consulting, professional services, or a similar environment.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting.
