Associate, Debt Capital Markets – Job
We’re currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Debt Capital Markets team in Dubai. The role focuses on assisting the origination team in winning new mandates from MENA/regional clients and maintaining the number 1 position. It involves client contact and support across the entire client lifecycle – from market updates and pricing to pitch books and the execution of mandated transactions.
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of pitches and other marketing material regarding public bonds and private placement markets
- Assist with pricing updates and origination ideas
- Assist in all aspects of deal execution
- Ensure all aspects of control, from credit to KYC to compliance, are in good order
- Support all aspects of HSBC’s branding and marketing in this arena, including contribution to various award processes
- Undertake all required activities as directed by line manager or as agreed in annual objectives to support the growth of the Bank’s MENA debt capital markets business
- Collaboratively work with colleagues in the wider debt capital markets team and within broader banking teams
- Share information, knowledge and ideas with the team
- Ensure 100% compliance with all new‑issue related requirements and avoid any breaches
- Relevant work and transaction experience in Debt Capital Markets is essential
- Passionate about financial markets and knowledgeable of MENA markets
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on understanding credit risk
- Visible and motivational leadership; able to work within a team setup
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to inspire, influence and negotiate with customers and colleagues
- Effective planning and organisational skills with tenacity to drive through results and meet tight deadlines
- Strong acumen in the use of MS Excel and Power Point
- Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is desirable
- A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your certificate is from outside the UAE, up‑to‑date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory
