Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Tax Accountant Assistant Manager level to support tax compliance operations and reporting across the group. This role will work closely with the Tax Manager, Finance team and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting, strong documentation standards and efficient tax processes across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is operationally strong, organised and comfortable managing day‑to‑day tax compliance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Tax Compliance and Reporting
:
Support day‑to‑day tax compliance across VAT, corporate tax and transfer pricing. Prepare and review tax returns, refund claims and supporting calculations to ensure accurate and timely submissions. Maintain and monitor the tax compliance calendar across relevant jurisdictions. Reconcile tax‑related general ledger accounts (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax) and resolve discrepancies with Finance. Assist with tax provisioning and preparation of supporting schedules for financial reporting purposes.
Coordinate with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate compliance filings. - Tax Operations Documentation & Audit Readiness

Maintain comprehensive audit‑ready documentation files including working papers, reconciliations, contracts and correspondence. Ensure prior period documentation is complete and well‑organised to support tax positions taken in filed returns. Review transactional data to ensure appropriate tax treatment and identify compliance risks. Contribute to the improvement of tax processes, internal controls and system efficiencies. Support responses to tax authority queries and audits, including preparing information requests and drafting well‑supported responses.
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure internal documentation and processes remain compliant.
- Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent) or relevant tax qualification.
- 3–5 years experience in tax compliance, in particular indirect taxes and VAT compliance, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial data.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Audit experience is an advantage.
