We are recruiting a Finance Manager for a leading company in Dubai. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations in Dubai and partly in the UK. You will have experience and extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles including IFRS, strategic planning, contracting, negotiation and execution, as well as willingness to work a flexible schedule.
This professional will be responsible for ensuring all transactions meet the goals and requirements as developed by the Group Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Establishing, maintaining, reviewing, and implementing strong financial and internal controls.
- Establishing, maintaining and executing cash management, bookkeeping, and AP/AR systems.
- Establishing and maintaining a treasury function.
- Working with management to develop and maintain the company’s financial policies and procedures.
- Hiring and managing accounting personnel as needed.
- Interfacing and liaising with the various departments internally.
- Preparing periodic financial reports (internal and external).
- Establishing and overseeing payroll and accounts receivable and payable, including billings and collections.
- Preparing materials for audits and financial compliance activities.
- Monitoring debt/credit.
- Establishing and maintaining banking relationships.
- Three or more years of experience in a managerial and/or controller role.
- Three or more years of experience with one of the ‘big four’ accounting firms.
- Treasury‑function experience.
- Experience starting and/or revamping accounting systems and controls in the creation of a new division, branch, or company.
- Willing to stand up for what she/he thinks is right and not afraid to make decisions.
- Fluent in English with good communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with all levels, cultures, and functions.
- Keen understanding of the Company’s business activities.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or ACCA.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS.
