Finance Business Partner
The Finance Business Partner is responsible for overseeing all matters relating to financial operations, profitability, and reporting for the assigned region. The position will assist in achieving business goals and objectives by directing the financial analysis required to provide financial and operational support to Sales and Services organizations as well as internal groups within Finance to improve profitability and provide guidance related to incoming and ongoing deals as well as monitoring project performance and risks.
Whatare the main tasks & responsibilities?
- Work with Company leadership in setting goals and objectives for the function as well as in setting policies, programs, and procedures that are aligned with Net Cracker business goals and objectives
- Provide operational support to Sales organization during pre-sales process including profitability analysis and contract structure
- Manage deals against sales opportunity pipeline for both revenue and bookings
- Provide consultation to Senior management and make strategy decisions related to deals that do not meet set profitability targets
- Review and analyze profitability of ongoing projects. Escalate to delivery and finance organizations as needed
- Work with finance staff to ensure potential issues are properly captured in the financial system – ERP
- Work with the business and operations to identify new reporting requirements, or make enhancements to existing reporting
- Develop and maintain a data-base of deals/projects to help improve the estimation process
- Develop, prepare and maintain meaningful financial metrics for senior management team
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to improve workflow of current processes
- Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed
- Minimum 8 years combined experience in accounting (US GAAP), Revenue Recognition and Business Analysis within the IT services Industry
- Experienced in Business Operation Profitability / Project Margin Analysis
- P&L Analysis and ownership
- Strong accounting, or finance background with practical business ability or experience or a program specialist or manager with financial aptitude
- Experienced in developing and presenting performance reports to management enabling them to leverage and maximize financial results
- Proactively consults with senior client management, anticipates their challenges, and proposes innovative business solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry and market served by Net Cracker and their clients (IT services)
- Integrate understanding of Net Cracker products and services, the competitive landscape, and operations into day-to-day decision making
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-Starter, detail-orientated
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency for analysis and modeling, creative thinking
- Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience in the use of ERP system (Oracle, SAP) and BI tools a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Related field from University
- MBA is a plus
