Job Description

The Lobby Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and visitors arriving at the hotel. This role is responsible for delivering a warm, professional welcome, managing guest flow in the lobby, and ensuring every arrival and departure experience is seamless. The Lobby Hostess plays a key part in shaping first impressions, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to personalized service and luxury hospitality.

  • Greet all guests, visitors, and VIPs in a friendly and elegant manner upon entry to the hotel lobby.
  • Offer assistance with directions, seating, check-in guidance, and general hotel information.
  • Coordinate with the Front Office and Concierge teams to ensure a smooth guest journey.
  • Monitor lobby traffic, anticipate guest needs, and proactively offer support or refreshments.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the lobby to enhance the welcoming atmosphere and guest engagement.
  • Escort guests to desired areas (reception, concierge, elevators, meeting points) when appropriate.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards in the lobby area.
  • Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints professionally, escalating when needed.
  • Support guest recognition efforts by learning regular guests' names and preferences.
  • Stay updated on hotel events, F&B promotions, and local attractions to assist guest inquiries.
Desired Skill & Expertise
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or hostess role within a hotel or upscale environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional grooming, polished appearance, and confident presence.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
  • Ability to remain calm, attentive, and courteous in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong sense of hospitality, etiquette, and guest engagement.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service protocols is a plus.
