Director – HR Operations
A leading, diversified retail group operating across multiple markets in the GCC is seeking an experienced Director – HR Operations to lead and strengthen its people infrastructure across corporate and retail functions.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, governance, compliance, and scalable HR processes across a large, multi-brand environment.
Role OverviewThe Director – HR Operations will oversee end-to-end HR service delivery, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and seamless employee lifecycle management across the organization. The role partners closely with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and business heads to enable operational excellence and organizational stability.
This position requires strong experience in retail or large‑scale, multi‑entity environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and optimize end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, payroll governance, employee records, policies, contracts, and offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory frameworks across GCC markets.
- Drive standardization and automation of HR processes and workflows.
- Oversee HR systems and data integrity (HRIS, reporting, dashboards).
- Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, and audit readiness.
- Manage employee services and shared services operations.
- Partner with Finance and Legal on compliance, documentation, and risk mitigation.
- Lead and develop the HR Operations team to deliver high-quality service across corporate and retail functions.
- Improve operational KPIs including SLAs, turnaround times, and employee satisfaction metrics.
- 12–18+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant exposure to HR Operations leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
- Experience with in large retail, FMCG, or multi‑brand environments.
- Strong understanding of GCC labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record managing HRIS systems and driving process automation.
- Strong stakeholder management at senior leadership level.
- Data‑driven, structured, and operationally rigorous.
- Experience managing teams in high‑volume environments.
