The Government Services Lead manages all HR interactions with UAE government authorities, ensuring full compliance with local labor regulations. Core responsibilities include overseeing visa and work permit processes, managing employee documentation, and handling GPSSA‑related requirements. Strong communication skills, solid knowledge of UAE labor laws, and experience coordinating HR activities with government entities are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain effective working relationships with government authorities to support HR processes including visas, labor approvals, and employee documentation.
- Monitor updates to UAE labor legislation and ensure the organization remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with government bodies to secure required permits, licenses, and approvals, including those related to GPSSA.
- Oversee visa applications, renewals, and related workflows for expatriate employees, ensuring timely processing and adherence to regulations.
- Support the onboarding of new employees by ensuring completion of all mandatory government forms and documentation.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and department leaders to align internal needs with government policies and requirements.
- Track Emiratisation targets and quotas, contributing to national workforce objectives.
- Address government‑related queries or compliance issues promptly, including matters linked to GPSSA.
- Maintain accurate, secure records for all government‑related HR activities in line with data protection standards.
- Provide employees with guidance on government processes, labor rights, entitlements, and compliance obligations.
- Uphold SLAs, service quality, and a customer‑centric approach to support a positive employee experience.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of policies and procedures related to government services and compliance.
- Stay informed on industry practices and recommend enhancements to optimize government‑related HR processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in a comparable role.
- Demonstrated background in HR functions with a focus on government relations, ideally within the UAE.
- Strong understanding of UAE labor regulations, government HR processes, and GPSSA requirements.
- Hands‑on experience using SAP or other ERP platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with government entities and internal teams.
- Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office tools and HRIS systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset
