Assistant Manager-HRBP | Transmission & Distribution/Substation | UAE
Job Purpose
To act as a strategic HR partner for business units within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector, aligning HR strategies with operational goals. The role supports workforce planning, employee engagement, compliance with UAE labour laws, and drives organizational performance in project-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic HR Business PartneringPartner with Project Directors, Engineering Managers, and Operations teams to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
Provide workforce planning support for T&D projects (Substations, Overhead Lines, Cable Laying, etc.).
Advise management on organizational structure, manpower budgeting, and succession planning.
Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical and project-based roles (Engineers, Supervisors, QA/QC, HSE, Site Staff).
Manage mobilization/demobilization for site-based manpower.
Coordinate with recruitment agencies (local & overseas).
Drive annual performance appraisal cycle.
Support goal setting aligned with project milestones.
Coach line managers on performance improvement plans (PIP).
Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
Conduct engagement initiatives across project sites.
Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies.
Support payroll coordination and ensure compliance with UAE WPS regulations.
Benchmark compensation within T&D sector.
Manage leave, EOSB (End of Service Benefits), and benefits administration.
Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and company policies.
Handle visa processing coordination with PRO team.
Maintain HR documentation and audit readiness.
Identify training needs (Technical, HSE, Leadership).
Coordinate safety certifications and mandatory T&D compliance training.
Support career development planning.
Prepare HR dashboards (Attrition, Headcount, Cost Analysis).
Provide data-driven insights to management.
Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred).
Minimum 9 years of HR experience, preferably within T&D, EPC, Infrastructure, or Power sector.
Strong understanding of project-based workforce management.
Knowledge of UAE Labour Law.
Experience in handling large blue-collar and white-collar workforce.
