Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Legal Affairs to lead and oversee all legal functions of the organization. The role involves providing high-level legal counsel, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing legal risk, and supporting executive leadership on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Legal Affairs department, setting strategy and priorities
- Provide legal advice to senior management and the Board on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Oversee drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and policies
- Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and governance requirements
- Manage litigation, disputes, and external legal counsel
Advise on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring - Develop and implement legal risk management frameworks
- Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the organization
- Support internal stakeholders with legal guidance across business operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Masters degree or relevant certification preferred
- Licensed lawyer or eligible to practice law
- Minimum 12–15 years of legal experience, with senior leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of UAE laws and regulations
- Experience in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work with senior executives and external stakeholders
