Legal Counsel – Financial Regulation | Dubai

We’re supporting a leading financial regulator in Dubai in hiring a Legal Counsel for their Policy & Legal Division. This role offers exposure to high‑impact regulatory work, legislative drafting, and advisory matters across the DIFC’s financial services landscape.

The successful candidate will advise on statutory interpretation, public law, conflicts of laws, and financial services legislation, while also contributing to drafting laws and rules and supporting internal teams across supervision, enforcement, and policy.

• Provide timely legal advice on financial services regulation.
• Advise on public law, statutory interpretation, conflicts of laws, and contracts.
• Draft and support the enactment of legislation, rules, and guidance.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across regulatory divisions.
• Represent the regulator in engagements with DIFC and government bodies (as required).

• 5+ years’ PQE from a top‑tier international law firm or financial regulator.
• Strong experience in financial services legislation and regulatory matters.
• Excellent analytical, advisory, and communication skills.
• Legislative drafting experience is an advantage.
