As Chief Legal Officer, you will serve as the organization’s primary legal advisor, providing strategic counsel and comprehensive legal oversight to support leadership decision-making, ensure regulatory compliance, manage risk, and safeguard the company’s contractual, litigation, and intellectual property interests.

Here's what you'll do:

• Serve as the primary legal counsel for the organization, providing comprehensive legal advice and support across a diverse range of matters.
• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure alignment with business objectives and legal best practices.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and protect the organization's intellectual property portfolio.
• Advise on and oversee adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, including providing legal guidance and collaborating with external counsel.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on legal and compliance issues to promote a culture of awareness and risk mitigation.
• Stay abreast of current legal and regulatory developments that may impact the organization and proactively advise on potential implications.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks facing the organization, implementing strategies to minimize exposure.
• Manage external legal relationships with outside counsel, ensuring efficient and cost-effective legal services provision.

You'll be a perfect fit if you have:

• 5+ years of legal experience with a focus on contract law, corporate governance, M&A, commercial law, IP, and labor law.
• Proven ability to handle shareholder disputes through mediation, negotiation, and litigation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal) with the ability to translate legalese for non-lawyers.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in German (a plus!) and English languages.
• Experience in UAE law and labor law.
