Manager Inventory Controller

About the opportunity

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions across warehouse management systems and financial systems.
• Own inventory reconciliation between General Ledger and Sub-Ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and timely month‑end close.
• Monitor inventory accuracy across all owned warehouses, stores, and 3PL locations.

• Lead shrinkage, expiry, and damage analysis across warehouses and stores, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
• Review and challenge inventory adjustments and loss claims, particularly those originating from 3PL operations.
• Proactively identify inventory risks and elevate issues that may impact financial results or operational continuity.

• Govern inventory‑related SLAs with 3PL partners, including reconciliation accuracy, adjustment turnaround time, and shrinkage thresholds.
• Ensure standardized inventory SOPs and controls are applied consistently across owned and 3PL warehouses.
• Act as the main escalation point for inventory disputes involving Operations, Finance, and 3PL partners.

• Own end‑to‑end inventory system processes, including system enhancements, UAT sign‑off, pilot execution, full rollout, and post‑implementation reviews.
• Ensure master data integrity (UOM, costs, expiry parameters, FEFO logic) across systems.
• Support inventory‑related system issues and act as a functional help desk for internal stakeholders.

• Plan and oversee wall‑to‑wall stock takes and cycle count programs across warehouses and stores in line with approved schedules.
• Validate stock count results, ensure timely adjustments, and drive post‑count corrective actions.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inventory Controllers, setting clear KPIs and accountability.
• Coordinate closely with Store Operations, Warehouse teams, Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Provide clear inventory performance reporting and insights to senior management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of inventory control or supply chain experience, with multi‑warehouse operations exposure.
• Proven experience managing teams and working with 3PL partners.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, e‑commerce, or quick‑commerce environments is highly preferred.
