Associate Director – Development

Lead and oversee the Development function, with full responsibility for design-led development initiatives from concept through delivery. This role requires a strong design background and the ability to translate strategic vision into well-executed development outcomes. The position plays a critical leadership role in shaping development strategy, ensuring design excellence, and aligning projects with organisational objectives.

• Lead the Development section, providing strategic direction and operational oversight across all development activities.
• Drive the planning, design, and execution of development projects, ensuring adherence to approved design standards, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Oversee concept design, master planning, feasibility studies, and design development in coordination with internal teams and external consultants.
• Ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the project lifecycle, from early-stage concept to final delivery.
• Act as the primary point of coordination between design consultants, engineers, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Review and approve design submissions, technical documentation, and development proposals to ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and organisational requirements.
• Provide expert input on development strategy, project viability, and risk management.
• Support the Director General in strategic planning, reporting, and decision-making related to development initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience, with a preference for candidates offering approximately 15 years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in design-led development roles, with a strong track record of delivering complex development projects.
• Prior leadership experience managing multidisciplinary development or design teams is essential.

• Preferably Arabic or European nationality.
