The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Finance function in managing Group Order to Cash cycle across our diverse business portfolio including Sun and Sand Sports, Supercare Pharmacy, GMG Consumers and other business units. The role involves leading a team in the accounts department, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and GMG’s internal policies, while optimizing financial processes to enhance operational efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including coordination with cross-functional teams across our retail stores, distribution centers, and corporate departments throughout the UAE, broader GCC and SEA region. The role will require managing end-to-end O2C process from sales generation to payment collection, identify process improvements, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure timely cash flow while maintaining strong relationships with our diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- 7+ years in finance required. Experience managing accounting functions (preferably Retail experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Postgraduate qualification in finance beneficial. Relevant certifications in financial management. Professional certification in auditing is advantageous.
- Proven experience managing teams in a multi-location environment across multiple geographies (preferably Retail experience)
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (preferably SAP), retail management systems (D365, Salesforce, Power BI)
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
- Excellent coordination and collaboration skills across various stakeholders
