Objective
Develop and maintain an effective brand marketing strategy & programs in order to deliver sales & profits targets while achieving awareness, market shares & equity objectives.
Job Description- Management:
- Manage the effective achievement of Marketing objectives through the leadership of the Marketing – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the department.
- Budgets and Plans:
- Develop and contribute to the preparation of the Sales & Marketing section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified. Constant coordination with RBU to align on spend forecast & category forecast.
- Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures:
- Recommend improvements to policy and direct the implementation of instructions covering all areas of Marketing activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service
- Day-to-day Operations:
- Grow the portfolio in terms of brand awareness, market share and financial KPIs (volume, revenue & profit).
- Develop and implement integrated marketing plan, marketing campaigns, consumer promotions and activation to support overall brand growth and profitability.
- Manage overall brand portfolio and product mix ensuring relevance to consumer requirements.
- Responsible for A&P planning, manage marketing A&P budget efficiently and monitor its effectiveness to ensure positive ROI.
- Lead the development & execution of marketing strategies & plans for the brand to maximize long-term volume & profit flow and increase the long-term value of the brand.
- Oversee product development and design.
- Develop & implement NPD strategy in conjunction with the Innovation team to support overall business strategy, short/medium term.
- Work with external agencies to develop advertising and communication for the product.
- Direct marketing research, monitor and analyze product performance, market trends, consumer behavior to be the key sources of information within the organization on the brand and on competitive products.
- Work closely with all internal departments and external suppliers to ensure projects meet agreed timelines (for example, marketing programs, NPDs, cost optimization, packaging changes, media plans, etc).
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Reporting:
- Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate reports of marketing to meet Savola and department requirements, policies and standards
- Health, Safety, & Environment:
- Monitor the adherence to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
