Role OverviewThe Business Director – Events & Brand Activations will spearhead Rayqube’s Events & Brand Activations vertical, overseeing business strategy, sales growth, client relationships, and project delivery across the GCC.
This is a strategic leadership role that requires a proven track record in business development/commercial leadership within the events, exhibitions, or brand activations industry. The candidate must possess deep regional market knowledge, strong industry networks, and hands‑on experience securing and delivering high‑value projects.
Key Responsibilities Business Strategy & Leadership- Define and lead the growth strategy for the Events & Brand Activations vertical across UAE and GCC markets.
- Develop annual sales targets, budgets, and operational plans for the vertical.
- Collaborate with leadership to align vertical goals with Rayqube’s overall business objectives.
- Identify, pursue, and secure large‑scale events, exhibitions, and brand activation projects.
- Leverage existing networks and develop new relationships with:
Corporate brands (FMCG, retail, automotive, lifestyle, etc.), Marketing & advertising agencies, Government and semi‑government entities - Lead commercial negotiations, RFP responses, and strategic partnerships.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Oversee account growth and cross‑selling of services across Rayqube’s offerings.
- Work with production, creative, and operations teams to ensure world‑class execution of events and activations.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards for all projects under the vertical.
- Stay informed on GCC events and brand activation trends, emerging formats, and competitive activity.
- Identify opportunities to introduce innovative formats and technology integrations into client offerings.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing business development and account management team.
- Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and promote a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of proven experience in the events, exhibitions, or brand activations industry, with at least 5 years in a senior business development/commercial leadership role.
- Strong portfolio of high‑value projects delivered in UAE and GCC markets.
- Extensive network of senior decision‑makers in corporate brands, agencies, and government entities.
- Exceptional negotiation, pitching, and closing skills.
- Commercially astute with strong P&L management experience.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution.
- Willingness to travel extensively across GCC for client meetings and project oversight.
