Our client is a leading financial services Group in the GCC seeking to appoint a Chief Strategy Officer. This is a strictly confidential mandate for a senior executive who will shape Group wide strategy, enterprise alignment, and long-term value creation.
This role carries direct exposure to the CEO and Board, with responsibility for defining strategic direction, evaluating growth opportunities, and ensuring disciplined execution across a diversified financial platform.
The successful candidate will combine macro level strategic vision with structured execution capability, ensuring the Group remains competitive, resilient, and growth focused across regional and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Define, refine, and oversee execution of the Group wide corporate strategy aligned with long term growth and shareholder objectives
- Advise the CEO and Board on strategic priorities, market positioning, and enterprise transformation initiatives
- Lead the evaluation, vetting, and development of strategic initiatives including expansion, partnerships, and corporate development opportunities
- Establish and maintain robust strategy management frameworks, policies, and performance monitoring mechanisms
- Drive cross functional alignment across business units to ensure cohesive and disciplined execution of strategic objectives
- Oversee business intelligence activities including market analysis, competitive bench marking, and identification of emerging opportunities across regulated and non regulated segments
- Support Board level reporting on strategic progress, risk considerations, and forward-looking initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience within financial services, diversified financial groups, sovereign related entities, or leading strategy consulting firms
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise strategy formulation and execution within complex financial institutions
- Strong exposure to corporate development, transformation initiatives, and performance management frameworks
- Proven ability to influence and operate effectively at CEO and Board level
- Deep understanding of GCC financial services landscapes and regulatory environments
- Exceptional analytical capability, stakeholder management skills, and executive presence
