Journey Coordinator/Transport Controller

We are currently hiring for a Journey Coordinator for our client a purpose-driven and fast-growing organization building a specialized dignity-first mobility platform across healthcare, accessibility, education, tourism, institutional partnerships and community mobility sectors within the UAE. This is a key role within the dispatch and transportation function responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, optimizing workflows and ensuring seamless coordination across teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with transportation regulations, including DOT requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline operations and resolve escalations.
- Manage and resolve complex dispatch and customer service issues.
- Maintain and improve dispatch procedures, workflows and training materials.
- Oversee dispatch software systems and ensure effective use of technology tools for optimisation.
- Participate in budgeting and cost control initiatives for the dispatch function.
- Lead regular team meetings to communicate updates, performance and operational priorities.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of dispatch activities and operational metrics.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in transportation and logistics operations.
- Lead, supervise and support the dispatch team including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management.
- Oversee daily dispatch operations ensuring optimal routing, scheduling and resource allocation.
- Drive team performance accountability and operational discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in transportation dispatch, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with dispatch systems, route optimisation tools and operational software.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and make fast, effective operational decisions.
- Strong experience in performance management and process improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong operational planning and coordination capability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
