Procurement Team Lead
Wood is currently recruiting for a Procurement Team Lead to join its UAE business unit focusing on supervision and guidance of a deployed supply chain project team. This is a full‑time onsite position in Dubai, UAE with travel requirement.

Key Responsibilities- Supervise and guide a deployed supply chain project team responsible for all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting.
- Oversee supply chain activities and personnel within the project.
- Understand client head‑contract requirements, incorporate them into supply‑chain strategies, and work with legal/commercial experts to develop commercial agreements.
- Monitor and report progress of procurement activities; update systems, report risks and escalations to project management.
- Ensure compliance with project execution plans, budgets, contractual obligations and project processes.
- Develop and maintain procurement status reports, chair PSR meetings and manage communication with client, engineering and project managers.
- Use Wood Approved Supplier Register and project‑specific registers for supplier evaluation, selection and performance review.
- Promote safe working practices, champion Wood’s values and embed the Financial Management Framework.
- Implement performance management and development plans for the team, deliver savings targets and support business‑plan initiatives.
- Accountable for the successful delivery of all supply‑chain activities for delegated areas.
- Provide guidance and support to reporting personnel and stakeholders on contractual obligations.
- Ensure activities align with schedules and contracted budgets.
- Write and refine processes, procedures and communications.
- Set priorities, assign workloads and review complex supply‑chain tasks.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and enforce corrective actions.
- Maintain statutory and legal compliance and ensure actions are auditable.
- Encourage safe work and safety leadership.

Educated to ISCED Level 6 (bachelor’s degree or equivalent); CIPS qualified or industry‑equivalent certification; record of job‑specific skills training.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience- Minimum 10 years in supply‑chain, with proven results and progression to a similar role.
- Detailed understanding of subcontracting and procurement concepts.
- Experience with subcontract and framework agreements, industry subcontract forms.
- Logistics and materials management expertise.
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of client contract requirements and supply‑chain principles.
- Complex commercial evaluations, negotiations and contract qualification.
