Trade Marketing Specialist

This position works out of our UAE office in Abbott.

Nutrition Division

Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll do
  • Develop and execute trade marketing plans for UAE and Lower Gulf aligned with brand and sales objectives across all channels (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, E-commerce, Pharmacy).
  • Design and implement in-store promotions, visibility programs, and seasonal activations.
  • Develop MSL & planograms and ensure execution across the trade through Abbott’s distributors.
  • Manage POS materials and ensure compliance with planograms and perfect store standards.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Sales teams to tailor trade programs for strategic customers.
  • Monitor and analyze promotion performance, sell-out data, and category trends to optimize future initiatives.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and finance for accurate forecasting and budget management.
  • Train and manage brand ambassadors to ensure consistent brand representation and impactful shopper engagement at the point of sale.

  • Driving growth and market share across in increasingly complex markets (i.e., ambiguity about future, decreasing access, differential expectations about ‘value’, etc.).
  • Managing complex retailer requirements and ensuring compliance.
  • Driving execution excellence across diverse geographies and store formats.
  • Balancing budget constraints with high-impact trade activities.
  • Ensuring timely availability of POS materials and promotional stock.
  • Measuring ROI accurately in fragmented trade environments.
Required Qualification
  • Min bachelor’s degree with major Business or Commerce, Master degree in same field is an advantage.
  • 5 years experience, minimum 2 years as Trade Marketing or similar.
  • Proven record of working closely with or at trade channels is essential.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power Point).
  • Ability to make new connections between data and insights, and to make these ideas understandable and actionable to others.
  • Strong relationship building, stakeholder (internal) and customer (external) management.
