Account Manager, Regional Consumer Brands-Perfumery & Beauty
Overview
Location: this role will be based in Jordan. As our successful Account Manager, RCB, P&B, you will lead and manage the account to grow sales and profitability according to objectives, by establishing dsm-firmenich as the clients’ key partner, winning projects, and selling profitably fragrances. You will be working across Jordan and Syria, so it is essential you will have strong sales experience in these countries already.
ResponsibilitiesCustomers
- Develop successful working relationship with (new and existing) clients, establish dsm-firmenich as key partner to obtain briefs for profitable business.
- Define account objectives, develop commercial strategy, implement through account plan. Identify business opportunities, decision factors and success criteria and define action plan accordingly
- Identify and document business potentials and competitive landscape
- Monitor client satisfaction and initiate corrective action where needed
- Negotiate with clients favorable commercial terms, including payment terms, prices for new business and increases for existing items. Maximizing business vitality
Projects
- Anticipating clients’ needs and lead proactive projects to generate new business opportunities. Getting clear and complete briefing from clients, translating their needs into dsm-firmenich projects; brief creation and development teams
- Define accurate pricing and margin parameters for each project, according to guidelines. Accurately inputting project information in project management system per rules (incl. regulatory and including project models rules in PE)
- Lead/coordinate projects with internal partners and with clients (including fragrance submissions)
- Drive projects towards the best possible solution for both the client and dsm-firmenich
- Share visit reports, client information and feedback
Account Management
- Manage products life cycle with MDM, demand planning, customer care and supply chain to ensure high level of service to clients and good working practices for dsm-firmenich (forecasts)
- Build the account sales budget annually, monitor sales and profitability versus objectives, provide input to quarterly Sales projection
- Monitor and optimize all other financial aspects of the account, in particular expenses (incl. market research) vs budget and clients overdue vs objectives
- Make sure all commercial data and documentation are accurate and properly maintained
- Follow B2A guidelines and be accountable for proper application of process

You Bring
- Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent (business administration, economics, marketing, science)
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of flavor/ fragrance/ ingredient sales experience in a sales/ marketing FMCG
- Essential you will have strong sales experience in Jordan and/or Syria is required
- Extended product expertise (product, market, consumer, technical/ technology) and passion for fragrance
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to clients and to demonstrate dsm-firmenich advantage
- Ability to develop strategic plans, define, prioritize and implement action plans according to business opportunities and success factors
- A team player, seen as a strong partner by the development teams involved in clients’ projects
- Supply Chain understanding (product life cycle, demand planning, order pattern)
- Additional language;
French and/or Arabic would be an advantage
