Amazon Out of Country (OOC) team is focused on bringing exciting international brands from emerging countries to customers in India. This role entails working with multiple Amazon stakeholders and international brand partners to deliver a best‑in‑class experience for new brands entering the Indian market and help existing brands expand their presence on the Amazon platform in India.
The objective of this position is to drive business growth by successfully launching and expanding international brands on Amazon India, delivering competitive pricing and unique product selection to Indian customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in brand management or international business development, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. You should be comfortable working across multiple complex functions and capable of influencing both internal and external stakeholders. The candidate should be adept at analysing market trends, consumer behaviour, and sales data to make strategic decisions. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is highly desirable.
Keyjob responsibilities
- Identify and engage with potential international brands from emerging countries that align with Amazon India's growth strategy.
- Conduct deep dives into market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes to identify promising opportunities for brand launches.
- Develop compelling business cases and strategies to convince international brands to enter the Indian market through Amazon.
- Work closely with senior executives at interested brands to successfully negotiate deals and facilitate their entry into the Indian market.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to set priorities, develop launch plans, and ensure smooth onboarding of new international brands.
- Manage the entire launch process, from initial outreach to post‑launch performance monitoring and optimisation.
- Review and monitor performance and sales of launched brands, providing strategic guidance to ensure their success in the Indian market.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international brand partners, serving as their primary point of contact and advocate within Amazon India.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes, import policies, and market dynamics that may impact international brand launches.
- 2+ years of sales experience
- Experience analysing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
- Experience meeting revenue targets and quotas
- Experience in e‑commerce
- Experience working in a fast‑paced and highly cross‑functional organisation
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+)
- Speak, write, and read fluently in French
