Business Development Director

Reporting of the Role

This role reports to the Managing Director, MENA

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sustainable growth for Influencer in the MENA region, mainly the UAE market. You will lead high‑value new business and sales conversations, develop innovative revenue streams, and strengthen our position as a trusted, consultative partner to leading brands and platforms. You’ll lead the charge into the market and take ownership of our sales execution, identifying, shaping, and winning high‑value opportunities that grow our presence with the world’s leading brands.

You’ll collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Client Services, Creative Strategy, Production, and Measurement to craft bold, insight‑led proposals that open new doors and deliver measurable outcomes. As an experienced Business Development Director, you’ll play a defining role in shaping how Influencer approaches sales and commercial/revenue growth for years to come.

  • Established yourself as a trusted senior commercial/sales partner internally and externally.
  • Led or supported multiple successful pitches end‑to‑end, from discovery to delivery handover.
  • Built a pipeline of qualified new business opportunities and supported the conversion of inbound leads.
  • Demonstrated consultative sales excellence – able to discuss delivery models, measurement, and creative strategy with confidence.
  • Contributed to shaping the MENA Growth playbook, working closely with the MENA Managing Director to refine our go‑to‑market approach.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for revenue growth, sales, and closing new business – initially for the broader business, and later, with vertical specialism.
  • Lead new business opportunities from first conversation to signed deal – including RFP responses, proactive outreach, and strategic pitch development.
  • Drive proactive outbound strategy – mapping white space, identifying target sectors, and creating tailored approaches for key decision makers.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to uncover new categories, emerging trends, and white‑space opportunities for Influencer to lead in.
  • Build and maintain a strong personal network across brands, agencies, and platforms – attending industry events, client dinners, and entertainment opportunities to deepen relationships and position Influencer front of mind.
