The TECOM Group portfolio consists of 10 business districts catering to six vital knowledge-based economic sectors, including design, education, manufacturing, media, science, and technology.
The 10 business districts are:
Dubai Internet City, Dubai Outsource City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Science Park, Dubai Industrial City and Dubai Design District (D3).
An opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Senior Executive to join TECOM Group. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
The role holder is responsible for identifying and supporting the pursuit of business development opportunities for the Function in compliance with sales policies and procedures of TECOM and to achieve or exceed the sales targets and complete the sales cycle within the overall business objectives of the company.
- Proactively achieve sales targets through pursuing and continuously identifying the particularities assigned markets, segments, and companies to achieve sales targets and contribute to the Identification of new value-added business opportunities using innovative concepts, and considering changes in the market environment, which can be converted into revenue generating opportunities in line with Business objectives.
- Review the established evaluation criteria and contribute to the Identification of new value-added business opportunities using innovative concepts and considering changes in the market environment and suggest amendments, which can be converted into revenue generating opportunities in line with Business objectives.
- Comply with sales processes, practices, and procedures to deliver standardized customer experience and to allow smooth sales operations.
- Maintain marketing and sales related data on potential customers and ensure upload and maintenance of sales and leads in the CRM to allow proper follow up and approvals from the section Head.
- Participate in promotional events e.g., road shows, gala dinners, award nights etc. to network with corporate and high net worth potential customers who can be captured as revenue generating customers.
- Contribute to the continuous review and improvement of Sales and business development practices considering ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
- Review and update all licensing segments and guidelines and provide accurate information to all academic institutions relating to regulatory processes to ease business partners registration and renewal formalities.
- Nurture business prospects and support in the negotiation of Sales deals and recommend discount and payment facilities to business partners in order to achieve sales targets in line with business objectives.
- Provide support for events and exhibitions to sell and work closely with marketing team to authenticate brochure and website content and develop promotional events e.g., road shows, gala dinners, award nights etc. to network with corporate and high net worth potential customers who can be captured as revenue generating customers.
- Ensure all administrative paperwork and system updates are accurate for ease of access and retrieval of department information.
- Support in the preparation of relevant reports to provide Management with timely information to monitor the progress of sales against targets, for effective decision making and business growth.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Graduate in any discipline (Business or Marketing degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in sales (marketing experience preferred with sales)
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
