Senior Account Manager
Overview About the Role & Team
As a Senior Account Manager at IDC, you will be responsible for driving sales, growth and building long‑lasting relationships with existing clients (20%) and prospects (80%) within the Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia) across the IDC portfolio of services.
What You’ll Do- Individually contribute to the sales revenue for the Middle East region (excluding Saudi Arabia) by identifying and prospecting new business opportunities in the technology sector and keeping existing clients engaged.
- Focus on selling IDC's Research, Data, Custom Solutions and Events portfolio to key technology vendors across the region.
- Organize and drive face‑to‑face and virtual meetings with existing and potential customers to sell IDC Services, cultivating strong, long‑term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Collaborate with sales managers based in different offices regionally to drive sales with international companies headquartered in a different country in the region.
- Customize proposals based on customer requirements with the support of team members through existing PowerPoint templates.
- Accurately report the sales pipeline in the CRM and provide local market intel/inputs to grow the business based on trends and requirements.
- A solid track record of about 8‑10 years of experience with a focus on consultative selling and client relationship management.
- Knowledge of the technology sector and/or experience selling solutions is a big plus.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at various organizational levels.
- Powerful negotiation, communication and presentation skills; advanced PowerPoint skills are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a strategic mindset to navigate complex sales scenarios.
- Self‑motivated, driven and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales‑related software, with Salesforce knowledge in particular a plus.
