To support the development of our Dubai affiliate, we are looking for a talented and passionate Fragrance Evaluator to join our regional team.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Fragrance Evaluator will play a central role in managing and developing fragrance projects for regional and international customers across the Middle East market. Working closely with perfumers, sales teams and customers, the evaluator will translate market trends and customer expectations into olfactive directions and winning fragrance developments.
The position requires strong olfactive expertise, creativity, customer understanding and a deep knowledge of Middle Eastern fragrance preferences and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities Fragrance Development & Evaluation- Evaluate fragrance submissions and guide perfumers toward customer expectations and project objectives.
- Define olfactive directions, benchmarks and fragrance briefs for creation teams.
- Select and refine fragrances according to technical, commercial and emotional criteria.
- Ensure fragrance developments align with regional market trends and customer positioning.
- Participate in fragrance adaptation and optimization for different applications.
- Present fragrance collections and submissions to customers.
- Understand customer needs, brand identity and target consumer expectations.
- Build strong relationships with customers through proactive support and market understanding.
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations and development workshops.
- Monitor fragrance trends in the Middle East market, especially in Fine Fragrance, Air Care and Personal Care.
- Analyze competitor launches and emerging olfactive directions.
- Contribute to internal trend presentations and innovation initiatives.
- Work closely with perfumers, application laboratory, marketing and sales teams.
- Follow projects from briefing to final approval.
- Ensure proper project follow-up within internal systems and timelines.
- Support the regional commercial strategy through olfactive expertise.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fragrance Evaluator within a fragrance house or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern olfactive preferences and regional market trends.
- Experience in Fine Fragrance and/or Consumer Products is highly appreciated.
- Excellent olfactive sensitivity and fragrance culture.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate marketing concepts into olfactive creations.
- Commercial awareness and customer-oriented mindset.
- Organized, proactive and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team player with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Arabic is a strong advantage.
- French is a plus.
