Sales Engineer (KSA) – Knauf Exterior Systems (Aquapanel)
This role provides technical expertise to build long‑term relationships and grow business for Knauf Exterior Systems by securing specifications and contracts on target projects. Responsibilities include creating compliant designs/specifications for architects and contractors, supporting brand presence with marketing, monitoring construction to resolve on‑site issues, and negotiating technical terms when needed.
Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise and advice to new and existing customer bases to develop a close long‑term relationship that ensures they continue or increase levels of business.
- Identify and contact potential customers engaged on target construction projects to secure specifications and contracts.
- Produce designs, specifications and details for architects, designers and contractors to ensure that KNAUF Exterior Systems are specified.
- Maintain close contact with Knauf Marketing Department to ensure a strong brand presence within target market.
- Monitor on‑site construction in collaboration with the contractor to provide advice and solutions to problems encountered.
- Negotiate project technical terms with sub‑contractors.
- Provide solutions to design problems that fully comply with accepted standards and industry codes of practice.
- Represent and advise professional bodies to further enhance Knauf’s profile and influence industry issues to Knauf’s benefit.
- Provide technical assistance and training to the sales team to help them with customers and projects.
- Provide market knowledge to loyal customers to increase their business and, thus, enhance our own business.
- Research markets for ancillary products and make recommendations to support or complete the KNAUF Exterior System (e.g., metal trims).
- Technical education with a construction‑related degree, ideally as an engineer or architect.
- Minimum 3–5 years working experience and in‑depth knowledge of the construction industry in sales or specification business.
- Facade experience is essential.
- Business recognition / market awareness.
- Sales experience with a commercial aptitude.
- Effective communication skills, with strong proficiency in English – written and verbal.
- Arabic speaking is essential.
- Valid KSA driving licence is essential.
